Start using Cycleops in 3 sure steps
Get started with Cycleops in just a few minutes, and get the most out of the platform, from day one. By the end of this short guide, you‘ll have learned:
- How stack templates work
- How to pass the configuration to services
- How to combine outcomes from steps 1 and 2 to create your own code deployment process
Let’s get started!

01
Design your stack templates
Click on your dashboard’s ‘Stacks’ tab to create your own reusable, no-code stack templates. Choose the predefined ‘default-containers’ to work on Docker-based setups, or click on the ‘Create new’ button to start using the built-in Cycleops units, and design your own.
02
Configure services for your code requirements
Go to the ‘Services’ tab, to create your services. Review the built-in configuration settings for the ‘default-docker’ and ‘default-containers’ services, which set the stage for sample setup based on Nginx. Alternatively, click on the ‘Create new’ option to create your own setup, by selecting a Cycleops Unit and configuring the appropriate settings for your custom application architecture.
03
Deploy your applications, at a click of a button
Finally, to deploy your applications, follow these steps:
a) Add your deployment target
Navigate to the ‘Inventory’ tab, and click ‘Add new’ to create a host. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your host, so that you can define the stack setup in the next step.
b) Create the stack setup to use in the deployment
Go to the ‘Stacks’ page, click on the ‘Add setup’ button, and use the host you just registered — along with the services you decided to use to create your first stack setup. Click on the ‘Deploy’ button to start the deployment, and leverage the Cycleops single-click deployment capability!
You can follow through the deployment steps executed by Cycleops by clicking on the ‘Console’ button, while the deployment process is in progress; or by selecting the respective job from the jobs lists in the Setup page view.
Take a shortcut to DevOps success
Design, configure, and deploy your own reusable stacks, without writing a single line of code!
